2222222 Miles on the Odometer

222222.2 Miles on the Odometer. That's Mileage, not Kilometers. (Converted, that would be about 357631.9 KM) Not bad for an old car that has kept on running reliably (except for defective parts) besides what the moronic pundits are saying about "bad reliability", "lack of spares", and "high fuel consumption" - it does not do any of that.
Spares came easy & cheap, fuel economy was acceptable, and lots of people have asked me if I want to sell it, which if I do, I'd not be making a loss at all (hence blowing the myth "low resale value").
This is proof. Go figure the parrot talks.

* cough*..when buying a second hand motor,
advice given, is always check the odometer (mileometer-clock thingy!) & any 'movements' as seen when the numbers are lil bit out of 'synch' ie. they don't quite line up straight, is usually on account with the cogs being 'tampered'.
is your 2, at the 1000 digit position, looks a lil bit misaligned.
your wee baby is possibly even older than what she is letting on?!
congrats though on the obviously happpy & succesfull long term relationship.

The dash's been taken out before, so it could've been possible it was accidentally "bumped". Years of vibration and bad roads play a part too perhaps?
The rest of the digits aren't so straight either (though bad pic makes it not obvious)..

Submitted by ian on Sat, 05/23/2009 - 20:03.I just checked the odo again, the misaligned digit has now jumped from the 1000 digit position to the 10000 digit position! Worn gears, springs or simply friction from other digits?
