Car theft syndicates

My parents' car (a Proton) was stolen from Centerpoint last night. Doesn't matter the car is old, they'd still want it. The syndicates probably have a purchase order.

At the police station making the reports they were told that about 6-8 cars were also reported stolen.

The ironic thing is that the car was stolen only a few hundred meters away from the café that the police so frequent for tea.

The car was old anyway and had a bit of an alignment issue. I am hoping that the thieves lose control of it and crash into a tree, have the tree fall on top of them, and then the car explode into flames roasting them alive.

In other places, or over the news or newspaper quotes, you usually hear of people saying "we thought it only happen to someone else" but here in Miri, it was "we have expected this to occur at some point".

Such thoughts say a lot about crime problems in Miri.
