What's the similarity between general insurance and computers?

They both blame the user or insurance holder when something goes wrong.

Let's face it - computer and insurance, though entirely different entities altogether, are highly complex in their own ways. Where there is complexity, there tends to be confusion.

Though a lot of material is presented to the user/holder for understanding, no amount of write up is going to make them fully understand it unless they have gone through training or read through the whole documentations thoroughly. Naturally, people have better things to do than to just read through all the fine prints and look up the terms & conditions and details in those papers.

So when something goes wrong, bam! Phrases like, "you shouldn't have done this" or "you should've read the terms properly" flies.

Of course, this also occurs the other way round - holders and users blaming the general insurance companies or computers for their own faults...

So now they're even. I wish both of them just shut up about it for once.
